Description: This webinar will discuss how to make the best of the NCLEX Administration Site, highlighting the following elements:

1. NCLEX Admin Help Guide + Reporting Features
2. NCLEX Testing Accommodations Process and System Updates 
3. NCLEX Program Code Maintenance and Changes

Part one will provide an overview of the NCLEX Admin help guide, as well as some useful reporting functionalities from within the system. Part two will summarize the high level NCLEX testing accommodation process, as well as describe the most recent accommodations system updates. Lastly, part three will explain the basic principles of program code maintenance including information on program code changes at the Nursing Regulatory Body level.

Participate in three short sessions to help you understand the difference between policy, statute, rule, advisory opinions and regulatory FAQs. Learn how to locate policy-related resources and utilize the Policy Manual in a way that is applicable to day-to-day situations you may face at your own boards.

The NLC Policy Committee ensures policies and procedures exist to guide the day-to-day operations of the Compact. However, what is the pathway to implementation of NLC Policies? What is the difference between policy, statute, rule, advisory opinions and regulatory FAQs in terms of the level of authority each carries? If you have ever had these same questions, this session is for you! It will provide a quick refresh regarding the process for creating policies and help

The NLC has a plethora of online resources. A Policy Committee member will share quick tips and tricks on how to access resources at your fingertips. In this session, we will also test your visual memory by

embarking on a virtual road trip with a website scavenger hunt.

The Road Less Traveled: Let the Policy Manual Be Your GPS

Need direction in terms of NLC Administration, Licensure, Nursys, Discipline or Compliance? If you answered yes, look no further than this session. Policy Committee members will showcase the existing NLC policy manual, highlight existing policies and review newly added policies. This engaging session will take a deep dive into questions members have, remind you of pitfalls to avoid, and highlight issues and solutions through storytelling and utilization of case scenarios.

Bridging the NLC Educational Gap

With nearly two million nurses in the country who hold a multistate license, NLC education is challenging, to say the least. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic has redefined learning with a shift to virtual and remote. Join this presentation to learn how the NLC Training and Education Committee has worked to incorporate different learning modalities to deliver education, online and on demand. Attendees will be challenged to help build a vision of future education that will be accessible, engaging and shareable.

Journey Through the Virtual Resource Realm

NLC education is no easy feat! We get by with some help via our shareable online factsheets, videos and tools that we can easily disseminate to our key audiences via the click of a button. NLC Training and Education Committee members will take you on a virtual tour of the NLC website and toolkit pages, incorporate live-learning activities, and share a sneak peak of what’s to come in 2021!

Where Do We Venture Next: Poll the Audience

This concluding session will pull it all together. Session presenters will identify the biggest NLC educational gaps for nurses and encourage your thoughts on new and innovative ways to share existing and new resources.
